Meet Our Staff

 Ella Barovich

I’m an Austin native and I became an esthetician in 2008 because I love to help people feel happy and comfortable in their skin. My goal with every client is to find natural and safe solutions for their skin care concerns. I believe that through proper diet, exercise, and a sensible and natural skin care regimen, any skin care goals can be achieved. Ella served as Jessica’s intern for 90 days. She has been through a selective training process through Esty and is our pride & joy. She has a natural touch that shines through every treatment. She has been with Esty Skin Studio since 2011.

Colleen Straney, L.Ac, LMT

Texas Licensed Acupuncturist #1098 Texas Licensed Massage Therapist #MT101932 From very early on, I was fascinated by the connection between body and spirit, massaging family and friends even as a young child. In 1995, when I was 20, I moved from my native Michigan to Albuquerque, New Mexico to attend massage school at Crystal Mountain Apprenticeship in the Healing Arts. The experience was profoundly transformative, and the vast expanse of the desert served as a fitting backdrop for immense personal growth. Throughout my years as a massage therapist, I have been honored and humbled to be any part of my clients’ journey towards healing themselves. I have lived and practiced in several beautiful places in the Western United States, including Denver, Colorado, where I served as an instructor in the massage programs at both Heritage College and Denver Career College. Wishing to build upon my foundation in bodywork, I earned my Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin in 2008. I am delighted to call Austin, Texas home and feel fortunate every day that I love what I do.

Sheila Cunny

My interest in skin care and wellness began at an early age. I’d struggled with acne from late elementary school all the way through high school. It was an extremely unpleasant experience for me at the time, but what I hadn’t realized was that it was the beginning of a life long passion. After graduating high school (and a couple years of college), I began working in a day spa as a receptionist as I went to aesthetics school. I was fortunate enough to be taken under the wing of the owner of the spa; a seasoned, German trained esthetician who mentored me and taught me all the skills and subtle nuances you won’t learn in school. I worked at this very same spa located in Napa, CA for nine years. In 2014, I moved to Austin. My transition to Austin has been perhaps my greatest learning experience both personally and professionally. I’ve had the opportunity to work at a few different facilities, and explore various skin care lines and modalities. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, that I feel I’ve found my “home” here at Esty. Esty encompasses every core belief that I’ve cultivated over the years which includes lifestyle, diet, the importance of using natural alternatives whenever possible and knowing when the use of chemicals is appropriate. I am so pleased and honored to be here, and I look forward to working with you in achieving all of your skin care needs!
